West of Jaipur, this road axis links a national freight-corridor junction (New Phulera on the Western DFC) with India's largest inland salt lake (Sambhar), the agricultural tehsil belt around Naraina, and the Rupangarh side that meets the Kishangarh–Ajmer economy on NH-48. Reported alignments of the proposed Kotputli–Kishangarh greenfield expressway pass the Rupangarh–Nawa region — which would bracket the belt between two major spines.
Administration: after Rajasthan's December 2024 reorganisation the state has 41 districts and 7 divisions — this belt falls in Jaipur district (Phulera, Sambhar, Naraina side) and Ajmer district (Rupangarh side). The earlier Dudu district was merged back into Jaipur.
