The one thing they all have in common
These schemes are administered by different ministries, applied for on different portals, and delivered through different state departments. What they share is a dependency almost no scheme list mentions: they are keyed to the record of rights. Income support goes to a recorded landholder. Insurance attaches to a declared sown area on a specific parcel. Credit is assessed against land documents. A soil card is drawn against a khasra.
The schemes, and what each one needs from your land record
| Scheme | What it supports | Land-record dependency | Apply |
|---|---|---|---|
| PM-KISAN Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi | Fixed annual income support, paid in instalments directly to the bank account | Paid to a land-holding farmer family. The holding must be recorded in the applicant's name, with Aadhaar and a bank account in the same name. Certain categories are excluded | Official portal |
| PMFBY Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana | Crop insurance against notified yield and weather losses | Cover is tied to a notified area and a declared sown area for a specific parcel. The sown-area declaration is checked against the land record | Official portal |
| KCC Kisan Credit Card | Short-term crop credit at concessional effective interest | Land documents establish eligibility and quantum. Applications are routed through banks; the Kisan Rin Portal tracks them | Official portal |
| Soil Health Card | Parcel-level nutrient testing with crop-wise recommendations | Samples are drawn against a specific parcel, so the card is only useful if it matches the khasra you actually farm | Official portal |
| PMKSY Per Drop More Crop — micro-irrigation | Assistance for drip, sprinkler and micro-sprinkler systems | Holding recorded in the applicant's name plus an assured water source. Geo-tagging and inspection follow installation | Official portal |
| PM-KUSUM | Solar irrigation pumps, pump solarisation, and grid-connected solar on farmland | Applied through the state nodal agency. The land-leasing component turns the parcel itself into the asset — see our solar land guidance | Official portal |
| e-NAM National Agriculture Market | Unified online trading across participating mandis | Registration is as a farmer or trader; sale lots trace back to the producer | Official portal |
| Agmarknet | Published mandi arrivals and price data | No land dependency — useful for checking what a crop actually fetches nearby before you buy land to grow it | Official portal |
| RKVY Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana | State-implemented agriculture development projects | Delivered through state departments, so the route and the components vary by state | Official portal |
| Farm mechanisation | Assistance for implements and custom hiring centres | Holding in name; some components are routed through co-operatives and hiring centres | Official portal |
| Seednet | Seed availability, certification and subsidised seed information | No land dependency for information; subsidised seed is distributed through state channels | Official portal |
| mKisan | Advisory messages from agriculture departments and universities | Registration only | Official portal |

Three situations that quietly disqualify people
- Joint holdings. Where a khata is held jointly, entitlement usually follows the recorded share, not the person doing the farming. Co-sharers who never partitioned commonly discover this at application, not before.
- Tenants and share-croppers. Someone cultivating land they do not own may be outside the scope of schemes keyed to ownership, even after years of cultivation. Treatment varies by scheme and by state.
- Inherited but unmutated land. Land still recorded in a deceased holder's name benefits nobody. Succession mutation is the fix, and it takes longer than people expect. Our ancestral land guide covers the trail.
Why there are no figures on this page
Every other list of these schemes leads with amounts — the annual support figure, the premium percentage, the subsidy share. Those numbers are set by guideline and by budget and they move. We would rather send you to the portal with the right questions than hand you a figure that was correct last year. What is stable, and what actually decides whether you receive anything, is the land record — so that is what this page is about.
🏛️ AgriZameen is independent — not a government body, not affiliated with any agriculture or revenue department, and not an intermediary. We do not file applications, process claims, charge any fee for scheme access, or act as an agent for any scheme. Every link below opens an official government portal, where you apply directly and free of charge. If anyone offers to secure a subsidy for you for a fee, that is not how these schemes work.
📚 All state portals in our Records Hub🧪 Soil & water testing☀️ Solar & BESS landSolar on your land is a separate question. PM-KUSUM, its pending second phase and Rajasthan’s SKAY are covered with the current scheme dates and the official portals on our solar and BESS project land page. The stamp duty position for a registered project is on our state-wise Sarkari Yojana hub, and the stamp duty position on our Rajasthan stamp duty guide.
Reviewed July 2026. We publish no subsidy amounts, no percentages, no premium rates and no caps. Scheme rates, ceilings and eligibility bands are revised by guideline and by budget, and a stale figure here would have someone plan a purchase or an application around the wrong number. Read the current figure on the official portal on the day you apply. Nothing here is legal, tax, financial or agronomic advice.
