The RIICO industrial area at Rajas Rajas में रीको औद्योगिक क्षेत्र

RIICO, Rajasthan’s industrial development corporation, lists the Shri Ram Janki Industrial Area at Rajas village — Nawa tehsil, Didwana-Kuchaman district — at S.No. 81 among the industrial areas of its Direct Allotment Policy 2025, which ran to 31 December 2025. It appears again in RIICO’s March 2026 list of areas on 33-year leases. In January 2024 the Chief Minister named Rajas among new small industrial areas expected to start working soon (Deccan Herald, 22 January 2024).

Two cautions. “Shri Ram Janki” is a name RIICO gives to several new areas across the state, so a document that says “Shri Ram Janki Industrial Area” without the village may be about another one. And no published source says how many plots at Rajas are allotted, built on or working: a listed area is not the same as a working one. Ask RIICO before you rely on either.

SJVN’s 100 MW solar plant at Nawa नावां में SJVN का 100 मेगावाट सौर संयंत्र

SJVN Green Energy is building a 100 MW (AC) solar plant that SJVN places “at Nawa in District Didwana Kuchaman”. The construction contract was reported in January 2025 (TaiyangNews, 30 January 2025). The foundation stone was laid on 22 May 2025, and SJVN gave 31 December 2025 as the scheduled commissioning date (SJVN press release, 23 May 2025). As of 14 October 2026 we found no announcement that it has been commissioned, and no source that names the village it stands in.

• LocationWith no village named in any source, “adjacent to” any village is a claim to check, not a fact.
• Near the lakeLand near Sambhar Lake can carry wetland restrictions. In July 2026 the Rajasthan High Court let a solar project near the lake proceed on conditions — panels at least 1.5 m high, three trees planted for each one removed, and water inflow for birds kept open. We have not matched that project to SJVN’s plant. The rulings, explained.
• A lease offerIf anyone offers to lease your land for a solar project, it is a long contract over your land: read every clause with an advocate before you sign.

The claims, checked दावों की जाँच

A flyer about Rajas, sent to us in October 2026, named both projects. The industrial area is confirmed in RIICO’s own documents. The solar project is confirmed by SJVN, but not its location “adjacent to Rajas”. All six of the flyer’s claims are checked, with sources, on the Rajas village guide; the Thar Expressway named in it has its own status note.
