Rajasthan in 2026: what is actually being built, project by projectराजस्थान 2026 — क्या सच में बन रहा है

A freight corridor finished, an expressway in land acquisition, a highway upgrade approved, a test track nearly built. The public record, with dates — and what none of it means for a price.

Why this page exists

Land in Rajasthan is sold on stories about what is coming. Some of those projects are real, some are further along than others, and some are a line on a slide. This page sets out what the public record says about the projects that come up most often around our belt — the Phulera–Sambhar–Naraina–Rupangarh corridor and its neighbours — with the source and the date for each figure. It is not a valuation, and it makes no claim about what prices will do.

Freight: the Western DFC is complete

The Western Dedicated Freight Corridor was completed with trial runs on the last section, JNPT to New Saphale, on 31 March 2026. The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India describes the corridor as 1,504 km of double-line electric track from JNPT to Dadri via Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Palanpur, Phulera and Rewari, with 567 km in Rajasthan. Another report gives the length as 1,506 km; the two are printed side by side here rather than rounded into one.

On the Rewari–Madar section, opened in January 2021, the Press Information Bureau named New Phulera among the junction stations and New Kishangarh as a crossing station. A freight station is not the passenger junction in town, and “near the DFC station” should always mean a measured distance to a named facility.

Roads: one expressway in acquisition, one highway upgrade approved

Kotputli–Kishangarh greenfield expressway. A state project. In August 2026 the final social impact assessment for Jaipur district was reported: a total length of 209.5 km, of which 95.4 km is in Jaipur district, affecting 50 villages in Chomu, Kishangarh-Renwal, Jobner, Phulera and Dudu tehsils. Earlier reports, from October 2025 and May 2026, gave the length as about 181 km. Farmers and the government had not reached agreement by late August 2026, and no source we found says construction has begun.

NH-48, Jaipur–Kishangarh. An upgrade of the 89.785 km stretch was approved by the Government of India in February 2026 at ₹910.90 crore, with flyovers and service roads, as a partly access-controlled highway. Nine bids were reported in March 2026. We found no report that the contract has been awarded.

Rail: a high-speed test track near Nawa

Between Gudha and Thathana Mithri, in the Jodhpur division, Indian Railways is building a dedicated high-speed test track of about 64 km (63.56 km in one report) at ₹967.07 crore. In August 2026 it was reported to be about 95% complete, with trials expected to begin by December. Earlier targets were missed, and published figures for length, cost and test speed differ between reports.

Energy and logistics

Solar. As on 31 August 2026 Rajasthan had 44,370.37 MW of installed solar capacity, the most of any state, according to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

Logistics. Adani Logistics launched a 100-acre logistics park and inland container depot at Mandawariya village, Kishangarh, in September 2025, with 35 acres developed in the first phase. The state’s logistics policy, launched on 3 April 2025, offers capital subsidy of up to 25 per cent for warehouses, cold storage and container depots.

Planning and policy

JDA. In October 2025 the Jaipur Development Authority area was expanded by 679 villages, roughly doubling it from about 3,000 to about 6,000 sq km. A revised notification in July 2026 added 41 villages and removed 12. The expansion is before the High Court, which has stopped construction in the area. Township Policy. A first draft is dated 27 June 2024; its notification was reported on 17 July 2025. Investment. The Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2024 was notified on 8 October 2024 and runs to 31 March 2029.

Districts: the map changed twice

In August 2023 the state approved new districts, among them Dudu and Didwana-Kuchaman. On 28 December 2024 nine of them were dissolved — Anupgarh, Dudu, Gangapur City, Jaipur Rural, Jodhpur Rural, Kekri, Neem Ka Thana, Sanchore and Shahpura — leaving 41 districts and seven divisions. Dudu and Jaipur Rural were merged into Jaipur district; Didwana-Kuchaman, which includes Nawa tehsil, was kept. A document dated between those two decisions may name a district that no longer exists.

What none of this means

A project nearby does not change what a holding is recorded as. Agricultural land beside a corridor is still agricultural land; any other use needs conversion under Section 90-A of the Rajasthan Land Revenue Act, 1956, and only where the master plan allows it. A project can also take land: a holding inside a notified alignment is acquired, not sold. AgriZameen does not tell you what land is worth and promises no price and no return. Questions we are asked about this

Is the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor complete?

Yes. The last section, between JNPT and New Saphale, completed the corridor with trial runs on 31 March 2026. DFCCIL gives the corridor as 1,504 km from JNPT to Dadri via Phulera, of which 567 km is in Rajasthan.

Has construction started on the Kotputli–Kishangarh expressway?

Not according to the public record. It is in land acquisition: a final social impact assessment for Jaipur district was reported in August 2026, and farmers and the government had not reached agreement.

Does a project near my land make it worth more?

No page can promise that, and AgriZameen does not. A project changes neither the land class nor the title. What it can change is which checks matter: the alignment, any acquisition notice, and the master-plan zone.

Which district is Dudu in now?

Jaipur. Dudu district was created in 2023 and dissolved on 28 December 2024, when its area and Jaipur Rural were merged into Jaipur district.
