A bigha is not one size. In Rajasthan alone a pucca bigha and a kachha bigha are different, and cross a state line and the number changes again. That is why a conversion done on a generic calculator so often does not match the paper. The AgriZameen Land Area Converter asks which state you mean before it answers.

Units, with the local variant built in
Convert between the units people actually use in an Indian land conversation — acre, bigha, biswa, gaj, hectare, square feet, square metres and the rest, more than eighteen in all. For bigha you pick the state or region, and the answer follows that local definition rather than an all-India average that matches nobody.
Each conversion can be copied in one tap, downloaded as a PDF, or sent on WhatsApp — useful when the person who needs the number is not standing next to you.
Area for a plot that is not a rectangle
The area calculator handles three shapes: rectangle, triangle and polygon. Fields are rarely tidy, and a polygon entered side by side gives a far better figure than pretending a five-sided plot is a square. The result comes with the same PDF and WhatsApp options.
Splitting a plot
The split tool divides a plot into equal parts and shows the area of each, in the unit you choose. In practice this is the family-partition question, answered before the argument rather than after it.
Price and EMI, on your own numbers
Two calculators sit beside the units. The land price calculator multiplies your own rate per unit by the area, so you can see the total value of a holding. The loan and EMI calculator takes an amount, an interest rate and a term and returns the monthly instalment; tapping a computed land price fills the loan amount for you.
Five languages, and a history you can clear
The interface runs in English, Hindi, Marwari, Gujarati and Punjabi. Recent conversions are kept so you can go back to the last one, and the list clears with one tap. Nothing is uploaded: the app works on the device and needs no account.
Who reaches for it
- Buyers turning a seller's bigha into an acre figure they can compare across listings.
- Sellers publishing an area in two units so nobody is confused.
- Families dividing a holding and wanting each share stated cleanly.
- Anyone reading a jamabandi where the area is in hectares and the conversation is in bighas.
The limit worth knowing
A converted number is arithmetic, not a survey. If the area you started from is wrong, the conversion is confidently wrong too. Take the area from the jamabandi, and if the plot on the ground looks different from the paper, measure it with the GPS Land App and ask why. Our reading guide covers where the area sits on the record.
